Sutter Health Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Sutter Health is a not-for-profit integrated health delivery system headquartered in Sacramento, California. It operates 24 acute care hospitals and over 200 clinics in Northern California.

An angry customer mentioned, "I had a procedure performed on 02/13/20. At that time I had to pay out of pocket for this procedure. I had this same procedure performed last year and my health insurance covered it. I was promptly reimbursed by Sutter Health. However, this year Sutter billing never submitted my claim to my insurance. After much back and forth between Sutter and my insurance, I ended up filing the claim myself on 04/04/20. My health insurance approved my claim and paid Sutter on 04/17/20. To this day Sutter is claiming they never received that payment and have still not reimbursed me. My insurance filed an appeal on my behalf on 06/10/20, but I’m still waiting for an answer from either Sutter or my health insurance and I have still not been reimbursed for my procedure."

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) says

"It takes 4-6 weeks to get hired on, then you get 3 weeks of “training” which is worthless. Then after that you are put on the phones. Don’t believe them when they tell you that you have resources to help you. I was left on the phones with 2 days of shadowing to figure things on my own. My “team lead” was never there, she was always in a meeting. There is no team work or communication on processes. They expect you to have good call scores but that is hard to do with little guidance and no communication. Cons: Everything"

Alhambra Family Practice Residency Program (Former Employee) says

"Three separate times patients nominated me for Sutter Stars.... my manager hated me so she wouldn't allow me to be awarded. No matter how hard I worked it was all about the pettiness. These people were like working at a school playground for 3rd graders and unless you're in the popular group, you're nothing. My manager was more interested in doing craft projects and decorating her office to look like a Victorian parlor room than providing excellent health care. Cons: Hateful, petty people, a hateful manager, horrible health care practices, no reward for doing a great job"

"Wasn't what they tell the employees. Extremely unorganized and disfuntional. Training was a complete joke, computer was not working for over a week. Safety video/course was completely based on discrimination was completely fine as long as it was funny. This thinking is not okay. Manager and trainer's were not on the same page. Break and lunches were not sufficient. Don't wast your time on this company."

"After giving over 3 years of my life to sutter health I felt used in a toxic work environment. Having no lice because you don’t know if you will have to go back in or not is total bs. Sure you start at an okay wage but is it worth working all of the time and missing your family?
